Choosing a Las Vegas hotel is mostly about choosing an area. This hub links our hotel and neighborhood guides. We don’t publish room rates or ratings. Instead, we tell you what’s near each resort, based on official pages.

The main areas

  • South Strip: closest to the airport. Home to Mandalay Bay (Michael Jackson ONE), MGM Grand (KÀ, Palm Tree Beach Club) and Luxor.
  • Center Strip: Bellagio (fountains, Conservatory, “O”), The Cosmopolitan (Marquee), ARIA, Caesars Palace (Absinthe) and The LINQ (High Roller). The best area for walking to free sights.
  • North-Center and North Strip: The Venetian (TAO Beach, next to Sphere), Treasure Island (Mystère), Wynn and Encore (XS, Encore Beach Club), Resorts World (Zouk) and Fontainebleau (LIV Beach).
  • Downtown: Fremont Street Experience, with hotels Visit Las Vegas lists such as Circa, Plaza, El Cortez and Downtown Grand, plus Golden Nugget and the historic Golden Gate.
  • Off-Strip: Summerlin, near Red Rock Canyon, and Henderson, a suburban base to the southeast.

Watch the total price

Many resorts add nightly resort fees and parking charges to the advertised rate. Compare total prices on the hotel’s official site, and avoid big event weekends if you’re on a budget.

Quick FAQ

Strip or Downtown?

Stay on the Strip if you want to be close to the big shows, dayclubs and nightclubs. Downtown suits a walkable stay around Fremont Street and the Mob Museum. Parking Downtown is limited: the Mob Museum’s own lot charges $8 for the first four hours.

Where are the pool parties?

Encore Beach Club is at Encore, Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan, TAO Beach at The Venetian, and LIV Beach at Fontainebleau.
